This policy explains what happens to information when you use green.recipes. It is written to meet the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 6698) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

No accounts, no advertising trackers

green.recipes does not use advertising or social media trackers and does not ask you to create an account.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics 4)

green.recipes uses Google Analytics 4 to see, as anonymous usage statistics, which pages are read and how often. Google Analytics collects the page you open, the referring page, your device and browser type and an approximate country and city derived from your IP address. It does not collect your name or email address, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. The data is processed by Google.

• Cookies: Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_DERSBZCW7R. They hold a random visitor number used to tell returning visits apart. You can delete them in your browser settings.
• Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, so this data is not used for ad personalization.
• Retention: Google Analytics keeps the data for 14 months, then deletes it.
• Opt out: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Server logs and visit counting

Like every website, our server receives technical information with each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We keep these logs for up to 14 days to keep the site secure and to count visits in aggregate. A small script on each page tells our server that the page was opened in a browser; it sends no identifier and stores nothing on your device. Our visit counts are totals and do not identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure site and understanding how it is used (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Content delivery

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf to protect the site and make it faster. Cloudflare privacy policy.

Stored on your device

Your unit choice, your shopping country, your shopping list and the entries in the nutrition calculator are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them. They stay on your device, are never sent to us or to Google Analytics, and you can remove them at any time by clearing site data or with the clear button on the shopping list.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to fix what you report, and we delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside Türkiye, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required, transfers are made with appropriate safeguards.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law and, where it applies, the GDPR, you can ask whether we process personal data about you, ask for access to it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. Write to us and we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or to the data protection authority in your country.

We update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
